Welcome to Taranaki Gliding Club
Gliding in Taranaki began with the formation of a gliding section of the New Plymouth Aero-Club in 1958 using a Slingsby T31 tandem seat trainer ex the Auckland Gliding Club.
The Taranaki Gliding Club formed in 1960. NP Aero Club Tiger Moths were used as towplanes, a winch was built and Batch Collins was the first CFI
