Welcome to Tauranga Gliding Club
The Tauranga Gliding Club operates from the Tauranga City Airport.
We operate every Saturday and Sunday including public holidays. Wednesday afternoons is club flying. There is always a duty pilot on the field during days of operation who is happy to look after you and answer your questions.
Access to the club is via the road between Bunning's Warehouse and the Classic Flyers Museum off the Jean Batten Drive (entrance road to Tauranga Airport off Hewletts Road).
We are just 5 minutes from Bayfair Mall, 8 minutes from Mount Maunganui beach and 8 minutes from downtown Tauranga.
The club has excellent modern premises including a purpose built hangar and well appointed clubhouse with dramatic views across the airfield.
The club's excellent BBQ is also a great focus for club members' "social" activities.
Our club caters for everything you need for great flying in the Bay of Plenty.
