Welcome to Whangarei District Gliding Club
The Club Airstrip is at Puhi Puhi, 25 Km north of Whangarei. The Club owns three, two seat gliders. The aircraft are an ASK13, Janus, and a Grob 109B motor glider.
Visitors are ALWAYS welcome.
Finding Us
Gibbs Road Gliding Site is 25 Kilometres North of Whangarei. From Whangarei, on State Highway 1, turn right into Puhi Puhi Road (Sign-posted), then left into Mine Road (Sign-posted), proceed for approximately 1 Kilometre and turn left into Gibbs Road (Sign-posted), the Gliding Club is approximately 1 kilometre up Gibbs Road.
