George & Lewi in the French 20m Nationals

We had a bit of luck yesterday… 415km task with the last turn point in a completely dead basin of air. After battling low level with the paragliders for about an hour we managed to scrape about 150m height and glide out the valley (plenty of paddocks to land in on the way)
At the end of the valley we finally made it back to a better air-mass and hit the lucky 4 knot rotor climb and dug our way out onto the ridges and home. Only two of us made it around the task so now we’re sitting in 1st place overall by about 200 points with everybody looking at us…
